Welcome to Shades of Grey Counseling, PLLC. I'm Semi Grey, a Mental Health Therapist (LMHC in WA & Registered Associate in OR) and Drug and Alcohol Counselor (SUDP in WA) working in Washington state. I've been working in behavioral health since 2017, for a variety of agencies serving Clark County residents. Now I have my own small business providing counseling services to the whole of Washington state. I earned my Master of Science (MS) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University, and earned my Bachelor of Science (BS) from Bastyr University.
I am a biracial woman of color, and I appreciate being able to serve a wide range of people, with a wide range of concerns. What you'll find in me as a Therapist is compassion, space for you to explore your feelings, accountability in getting you to your goals (or even discovering what those are), and help in understanding the particular ways that mental health and/or substances affect the various parts of your life.
When I'm not counseling, I enjoy spending my time outdoors, engaging in mindfulness and meditation, spending time with friends, working out, and reading. I have four animals, including goats, and my husband and I love taking care of them! Please don't hesitate to reach out to me for more information; I recognize that navigating challenging mental health systems can be confusing, and traditionally has neglected lived experiences of people of color, indigenous, trans, lesbian, bisexual. queer, differently-abled, and those with 'alternative' lifestyles, so please know I'm here to help, to the best of my ability. I'm glad you're here.
